I just started silkscreening again. I used to do it a lot in high school, but never figured out how to print multiple screens. The registration issue always messed me up.
First, I did a series of test prints of the skull outlines (which I scanned in from a page in my sketchbook). Then, I worked up the positives for the background color and to fill in the skulls.
This was all jumpstarted after I picked up Jay Ryan's new book animals and objects in and out of water. I love his work. I've got a long way to go, but poring through his book helped me realize that hand drawn graphics are a lot more fun than some carefully rendered drawing done in Illustrator.
